Book Review - The Real Rules of Life

About the Book
From an early age we are taught there are ‘rules’ to life, yet life isn’t quite that simple. The ‘real’ rules presented in this book will set you on the right path for coping with life’s ups and downs.

Ken Druck knows the ‘real’ rules of life firsthand. The tragic death of his daughter, experiences as a trusted coach and confidant to people all over the world and his work with people affected by major tragedies of our time (9/11, the Columbine High School massacre and Hurricane Katrina) have led him to discover the secrets of how we survive life's worst losses and uncover its dark gifts.

This book is not a quick fix, nor does it trivialize life's struggles. It is a refreshingly honest approach to turning adversity into opportunity. Ken inspires you to make peace with life as it really is - once you know the ‘real’ rules, you can balance life's terms with your own and live boldly.

My Take on the Book
This is the type of book that simply states it like it is without any sugar coating on it. The author provides frank thoughts and opinions that are clear and understandable and provides great resources for anyone who has lost a loved one or has lived with adversity within their lives. The book provides a clear approach to dealing with these challenges. The author also shares some very down-to-earth, meaningful stories that will touch your life. This is the type of book that once you start you will not want to put it down (or at least I didn't).
