GeoPalz Activity Tracker for Active Dads and Kids

Fathers play a huge role in influencing young people to create healthy lifestyles. GeoPalz makes it easy and fun for Dads to get outside and get active with their kids - all while making it a game for both parent and child.

The GeoPalz activity trackers (ages 5+) are small tri-axis accelerometers that clip to the shoe or hip to monitor activity throughout the day. Those steps are converted into points, and prizes or time in the new online gaming arcade with games like Avalanche, Snow-Drift, Mega-Mash, and Final-Ninja.

To track the whole family, GeoPalz features Family and Group areas to track multiple people. GeoPalz steps are tracked here, but you can also import data from devices like the FitBit or Nike Plus. The Dashboard will show you who has the most steps, who is burning the most calories and more: http://geopalz.com/images/static/Dashboard-groups3.jpg.

The GeoPalz activity tracker (MSRP $25) uses a 3D Tri-Axis Accelerometers (98% accurate), can gauge MVPA (Moderate to Vigorous Physical Activity) and tracks 21 days of steps.

My Take on the Product
The new pedometer design is so kid friendly. The company sent me one that is perfect for a girl. The pedometer works great and keeps accurate track of the steps taken. They have even developed a way that you can receive prizes for keeping track of your steps which provides you points which can get you free stuff. This was fun for my daughter because she loves to keep track of her steps. Thus this product is much more than a pedometer, but instead it is something that is encouraging kids to stay healthy and active which is a great thing. I highly encourage all to check out GeoPalz!
