Book Review - Clem Hetherington and the Ironwood Race

Clem Hetherington and the Ironwood Race

About the Book
A dangerous rally race... and archaeology?!

Clementine Hetherington and her robot brother, Digory, have run away from the orphanage they've been living in since their parents died. Clem and Dig want to follow in their famous archaeologist mother's footsteps, but no one will take them seriously. Their chance arrives when a man from their past saves Digory's life, and to repay the debt they enter a multiday rally race... to recover stolen artifacts! Clem and Dig hope to win so they can give the artifacts to a museum, but their opponents want to sell them on the black market. The Ironwood Race has no rules, and Clem and Dig might be in over their heads!

My Take on the Book
This is a review that my daughter wrote about this book...

I thought this graphic novel was great. It is about a girl named Clementine but people call her Clem. She has a robot brother named Digory, but people call him dig . Clem's parents died but she does not  know how they died, so she lived in a orphanage. She ran away with Dig and they lived in a vacant store/apartment. Then one of their parents' so called friends found them in the apartment and asked if they would go on a dig with him, however, they turned down the offer at first. Later, when some people break Digory, Clem runs and asks for help and says to the friend of the parents "if you fix him, I will do the dig". Digory got fixed and they decided to assist with the dig. Clem is great at riding in the front seat of a race car and wins most races but finds difficulties in the way that she races and at the end she finds out a huge secret. I think it was a great book and I hope there is another one soon!
